Making Fast: Sacred Attachment Styles and Fostering Security with God
This workshop will help you understand the human longings for connection and the attachment style your directees use to feel connected to God. It will also focus on how to take a process-oriented, inside-out approach to help directees understand the way they try to connect with God, and being present with their experience of feeling blocked or stuck, in order to organize their internal experience which will help them find their way forward. Aimed for spiritual directors and soul care folks; nonetheless, everyone is welcome. You must register for both sessions. Recordings will be provided, but only for those registered in advance.
Our guide, Krispin Mayfield, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, an attachment-based therapy, and practices in Portland, OR. He has a background in ministry in marginalized communities and creating spiritual rhythms for long-term presence in underserved neighborhoods. Krispin is the host of the Attached to the Invisible Podcast, and has a forthcoming book in February 2022: Attached to God: A Practical Guide to Spiritual Experience.
