DESCRIPTION:Tobar An Anama: Soothe\n\n \nThursday\, December 4-7\, 2025 • Colorado Springs\, CO\n\nThis year’s retreat theme\, Soothe\, comes from the desire to offer a place of soothing for all spiritual directors (and directors in training) who have been offering soul care and deep listening in one of the more chaotic and painful times in our lifetimes. This will be a time of rest\, connection\, and care. We will again be offering half-price at retreat massages\, as well as creative activities\, times of prayer\, and teaching. This year’s guest facilitator will be Kim Isaak of Keeping Company and Restoration Ministries. Kim is a spiritual director\, pastor\, supervisor\, and a certified instructor of Inner Relationship Focusing. I (Tara) have had the gift of learning the profound practices of inner relationship focusing more deeply with Kim for a few years now\, and both IRF and Kim’s tender\, open presence have shifted and expanded my capacity to be with whatever is happening within me in such a way that allows compassion\, connection\, care\, and the presence of God to bring healing in areas that we previously intractable or inaccessible.\n\nKim’s teachings will resource you as a spiritual director to be able to offer yourself the kind of loving presence that sometimes feels so far away. This form of self-care is a vital cornerstone of the ministry of spiritual direction and I believe the kind of practice that we deeply need as holy listeners in this particular moment.\n\nThere are both double and single room options available on a first come\, first served basis. We’ve done our best (as has Kim\, our speaker) to keep costs down and make this accessible to as many as possible\, but do let us know if finances are an issue. DESCRIPTION:Renovate: Tools\, Support and Skills for Refreshing your Spiritual Direction Practice \n\n\nRenovate is a yearlong cohort for trained spiritual directors who are looking for additional training\, tools\, and support for their practice. DESCRIPTION:Turbulent Times Invite Creative Ways of Engagement \nA different part of us comes alive when we use images—and even our own bodies—to express what is in us\, in addition to the deep gift of words in a direction space. But if creativity feels like it’s reserved for “those artistic people”\, and you’re not quite sure how you might invite people in those ways—or engage yourself!—come play with us on May 9th\, 10am-12pm MT! Jamie Bonilla will be inviting us to consider times when a creative practice or response may be helpful\, and some potential practices that can be engaged in both individual direction sessions and group direction or retreat settings. \nSo\, if you have wondered about utilizing creativity in the sacred space of direction (whether as a practitioner\, or on the receiving end!)\, we’d love to have you join us as we explore the “art” of spiritual direction.
