DESCRIPTION:Renovate: Tools\, Support and Skills for Refreshing your Spiritual Direction Practice \n\n\nRenovate is a yearlong cohort for trained spiritual directors who are looking for additional training\, tools\, and support for their practice. Led by Anam Cara trained spiritual directors and supervisors\, Rachel Reed and Jeremy Frye\, this year long training includes monthly online training modules\,gathering for praxis\, as well as small group supervision. \nOver the course of the year we will take time to define spiritual direction\, discuss the role of supervision in the practice of spiritual direction\, learn and practice helpful (or practical) skills\, look at ethical dilemmas and relational roles\, explore what it means to be a non-manipulative presence and approach the topic that nearly all of us are uncomfortable with; the business of your spiritual direction practice. \n\n\nCohort is limited to 20 participants. \nHere’s what past participants are saying about Renovate: \n\n “Renovate has been a wonderful year of “continuing education” for my spiritual direction practice. DESCRIPTION:As much as I love the cooler temperatures and lingering autumn sunshine\, the decreasing hours of daylight each October are accompanied by a bit (ok\, a lot) of dread; with each passing year I seem to feel the weight of the darkness a little more. When it comes to the long\, dark months here in the Pacific Northwest\, I confess I have been living from a place of resignation. What might it be like\, I’ve been wondering\, to consent and actively welcome the darkness? \nChristine Vaulters Paintner writes\, “Honoring the flowering of spring and the fruitfulness of summer\, alongside the release of autumn and the stillness of winter\, cultivates a way of being in the world that feels deeply reverential of my body and soul’s own natural cycles. We live in a culture that glorifies spring and summer energies\, but autumn and winter are just as essential for rhythms of release\, rest\, and incubation.” \nLet’s honor the rhythm of the shifting season together. \nRestorative yin is a subtle yoga practice\, intended to support the body so the muscles can relax\, accessing and releasing the deeper tissues beneath. SUMMARY:An Inner Journey towards God with The Ignatian Spiritual Exercises
DESCRIPTION:The Ignatian Spiritual Exercises are a 9-month journey of discovery – a deep dive into the internal workings of your heart and life\, a deeper discovery of who Jesus is\, and often\, a deeper understanding of how the desires within your own heart might illuminate the way you want to live this one glorious life with God. \nAlong the way\, you will be encouraged to embrace the depth of God’s love for you and deepen your friendship with the Living Jesus as you come to see his nature and nurture with the people around him. \nOver the nine-month journey there is intent towards daily engagement with the prayer materials (40 – 60 minutes each day). As a prayer pilgrimage that is a retreat-in-daily-life\, there will be the ups and downs of life\, visitors\, interruptions\, travel\, so the hope is towards 5 hours of prayer each week. \nAdditionaly the time committment involves nine\, 1.5 – 2.5 hour group sessions (length of time varies depending on number of participants\, not to exceed 8) via Zoom\, preparation for each theme by viewing nine video teachings by Bill Zuelke of Soul Formation prior to our group meeting (approx 1 hour each)\, and nine (up to 13) individual spiritual direction sessions via Zoom with me (approx 45 minutes – 60 minutes) spaced between the group sessions. I’m sure this is no surprise to any of us\, as leadership often feels tiring\, isolating\, and lonely. \nIn an attempt to make space for clergy & ministry leaders\, spiritual director and pastor Holly Porter Phillips will be offering a spiritual direction group this fall. Groups of 4-6 attendees will meet together (via zoom) to bear witness to the workings of God in their own lives and those in the group. Each hour-and-a-half session will include centering\, sharing\, silence\, and prayer. DESCRIPTION:A Spiritual Direction Group for Clergy & Ministry Leaders: to remind us that we aren’t alone \nRecent data from the Barna Group says that 65% of pastors admit that they sometimes or frequently experience loneliness (a 20%+ increase from 2015). I’m sure this is no surprise to any of us\, as leadership often feels tiring\, isolating\, and lonely. \nIn an attempt to make space for clergy & ministry leaders\, spiritual director & pastor Holly Porter Phillips will be offering spiritual direction groups this summer. Groups of 4-6 attendees will meet together (via zoom) to bear witness to the workings of God in their own lives and those in the group. Each hour-and-a-half session will include a guided time of centering\, time for sharing\, silence\, and prayer. SUMMARY:Finding God Together: An Ignatian Journey for Couples
DESCRIPTION:The Ignatian Exercises are a deeply transformative journey\, used for centuries by followers of Jesus who desire to walk more closely with Him. Experiencing the Ignatian Exercises with your spouse is an opportunity to cultivate spiritual intimacy with one another as well as to deepen your own connection to Jesus. \nThe Ignatian Exercises include daily prayer and scripture meditations and the daily Examen. We have an East Coast Cohort and a West Coast Cohort \nBoth cohorts begin with a kick-off retreat on Saturday\, August 9th\, from 9am-12pm MT online. \nCentral/East Coast Cohort will meet weekly on Wednesday from 6:30-9:00 pm CT (August 20-November 19\, 2025\nMountain/West Coast Cohort will meet weekly on Mondays from 7:30-9:00 MT (August 18-November 19) \nWe will gather with the cohort to check in\, then meet either with a spiritual director as a couple\, as the full cohort group\, or simply with one another as spouses to reflect upon and debrief your experience of God. \nCost: $749 per couple \nContact Bryan@curateministries.org to secure your spot.
