This retreat—designed to be a restful\, safe place for those whose ministry of listening has brought with it a heavy load over the last few years—is truly meant to ease the burdens and renew your soul. Led by the Anam Cara team and our speaker\, Aaron Niequist\, this four-day experience will involve liturgy and movement\, rest and rhythm. At a stunning\, recently refreshed property in the mountains of Colorado\, you will be offered all the ease the mountains and our ministry can offer.\n\n\nRetreat Durection: Thursday\, November 2 at 7 pm MT (with afternoon arrival on property and dinner out at a location nearby) to Sunday\, November 5 at 12 pm.\n\n\nCost of this retreat includes:\nEight staff-prepared meals (all sensitivities and needs accommodated)\nFull accommodation at the retreat property in Bailey\, CO\nHiking & amenities on the property\nDaily liturgy and content gathering\nLeading in ease and rest with guest speaker Aaron Niequist\nSouth bathing session\nSubsidized massage therapy on site (limited appointments available)\nAll retreat materials\nAnd a few special treats along the way!\n \n\nThis retreat center can only accommodate 21 people (not including our staff)\, and we only have two double occupancy (meaning rooms with two beds) available. DESCRIPTION:These Scripture Circles are meant for a specific community that is traveling together over time (a small group\, family group\, or small community). This could be over several months as a theme is explored (justice\, grace\, or love\, for example)\, or for much longer as the group dives deeper into Scripture and sacred community. \nThis Rooted Study will be lead by Jeremy Frye. SUMMARY:A Companioned Prayer Journey Immersing in God's Love; 9 months with the Ignatian Exercises
DESCRIPTION:Over 500 years\, thousands of people across various denominations have discovered the enduring treasure and beauty of the Ignatian Exercises. Just as exercise is meant to strengthen the body\, Ignatius of Loyola developed these prayer practices to strengthen our spiritual life and help us deepen our relationship with God. A significant way we explore God’s love is by walking closely with Jesus to see the heart of God for us and the human family. We pray through the life of Jesus\, a companion with Jesus in His story: His birth at Christmas\, His ministry and miracles\, the passion at Easter\, and His resurrection. In the journey\, we discover God’s heart for us and our invitation to be with Jesus for the world. While much of our prayer time is spent with the scriptures\, this is not a Bible study or an undertaking of analyzing historical events\, but the entering into the scriptures as a living experience with the Living God.\n\nThis heart-and-soul deep dive towards Jesus is an intentionally designed prayer pilgrimage that undertakes a significant investment of time and commitment to engage. There is daily engagement with the prayer materials involving at least 5 hours of prayer each week (40 – 60 minutes each day for 9 months). Additionally\, there are nine\, 2.5-hour group sessions via Zoom over the nine-month journey; preparations for each theme by viewing nine video teachings\, approximately 1 hour\, by Bill Zuelke of Soul Formation prior to our group sessions; and nine one-on-one spiritual direction sessions via Zoom with me which are spaced between the group sessions. You can expect to be present either in a group session or one-on-one with me about every two weeks.\n \nThe Group Sessions are likely to be Tuesday evening\, 6-8:30pm MTN\, to avoid impacting typical work hours. If the group members unanimously determine a time shift would be better on Tuesday\, the time could shift. Group Sessions on Sept 26\, Oct 10\, Nov 7\, Dec 5 & 19\, Jan 16\, Feb 20\, Apr 2\, and May 7. \n\nCost $1485: a $300 deposit reserves your place on the prayer pilgrimage. Remaining balance may be paid monthly.
